Living on Tulsa time

So this week I will be attending a conference in Tulsa.....first time away from my boys and counting on Aaron to do all that I do. I fully expect to return hom to 10 loads of laundry sink full of dishes and a boy exploded bachelor pad. I have am 100% positive I will be missed. :) I am really nervous to leave my clan but I know the boys will have fun just being boys. I don't know if I will be able to fall alseep without our daily book and bedtime routine. Trig is really picked up on reading. Well, Looking. He Loves books. I ran the homecoming 5k this weekend in Alva and won. I am starting to like this winning stuff! Trig came with me and Charleen watched Trig for me. Very sweet of her. He was waiting patiently for me at the finish line. It was very cute. Payton thought my trophy was fantastic and put it on the mantel at home. Im guessing I have one solid year left of being cool in his eyes so I let it stay :)
Aaron has been busy working hard and I have been busy as well. We are blessed to have wonderful friends and family that love Trig and Payton that are always willing to help out! I have the Cherokee Strip 5K this weekend. We have a game today in Enid at 7:30 so im guessing we will get home around 10 pm tonight! Fun evening!! Payton rode a calf this weekend with his buddys. He is so pleased with himself! I am getting concerned with his love for this "sport". But yesterday Payton said a sentence that has made it impossible to stop smiling. He asked me what my favorite thing in the world to do was. I told him "to spend time with him Trig and Dad, what about u?" He said "just being here" (the horse lot). I know its Trig and Aarons favorite thing too. Who would have guessed id have a house full of cowboys?

Touchdown!

Hey loved ones! I can't believe it is coming upon the end of September. This year is flying by! I thought I'd better blog because this week has been so eventful in the Ream household. It has been a crazy week. We didn't win our football game this week but the boys sure did have fun. Payton is so good and is managing to keep his head up- we are really proud. Have I mentioned that before? He is growing up so fast, sometimes I feel cheated from time! Trig really wants to play and I took him to practice this week, and the boys played like crazy with him, so now he's really thinking he part of the team. Payton wore his timberlake tigers shirt to school this week and he caught a lot of heck for it last week but he told Aaron and I that he was proud of his team. When did he grow up!? We enjoyed Aaron's weekend off by fishing on Saturday and church on Sunday. I love sitting on a pond watching my boys fish, my dog swim and the wind blow. What a day.
Went to see gma Glenda yesterday and she wasn't feeling well. She needs some prayers. As we were leaving she tried to RUN after Trig because he wanted her to chase him so bad. She did fine but it scared Aaron and I have to death. She's a pretty special lady. One friend of hers told me just the other day that she is so wise and disquises her wisdom with compliments when she speaks of someone. Now this doesn't make sence unless you know her. I found it very fitting!
I ran this weekend in the Great Land Run 10 k (6.2 miles) for everyone living in the US. It was great! Charleen- went with me and did the 5k. It was great to spend some time with her. I got 2nd out of the women and won my age group. I am running a 5k in Alva for the next two weekends and am very excited. We do face struggles like every other family I promise but who wants to hear about those!!?? Thats what our Sundays in church are for :) I am thankful for friends and family like you who care to take the time to keep up with the REAM FAMILY. Remember that we are all thinking of you as well. Also, Paytons school pics are in so bug me for some!! Some pretty good sooner football this weekend too! Deer season is approaching quickly and I can sence the anxiousness of my husband. Here is a pic of my view on Saturday!

All is Fair

Wow what a great month this has been so far! Last week was the alfalfa county fair in Cherokee. It is such a neat little set up for the kids!! Payton won overall grand champion in his age division. Man were we all proud. He won a neat little horse stand that he cannot wait to put an old saddle that gdad Gus gave aaron when he was little. Everyone is missing Gus a lot and its finally starting to sink in that he isn't here and that he won't be coming through the doors at any given time. Trig looks at his pictures a lot and im thankful that he still remembers him. During the fair Aaron had to work so it was my true test of trailor backing, horse saddling all by my self!! I was successful to NOT wreck the truck and the horse got to the fair alive. Payton has his first real tackle football game last night and they lost. Payton isn't real used to losing yet so I think it was tough to take in. It doesnt help that dad is the coach! I banned football talk in the house from now on unless its positive!! im willing to take any advice here. Trig will throw his arms in the air and yell "tado" (touchdown). Its pretty cute if I do say so myself! I set up mutual funds for both boys this month. I must say that I have a sence of relief doing this for them. Its not much, but its always something I told myself I would do. Alexa is my stock lady. She is very educated about what she does. The book I read for bookclub was fantastic and if someone wants it they are welcome to it. It was called the weight of silence. Lord knows that if i have time to read it must be a great book. Next month is The faith club. I have been looking forward to this book for months! I can't wait to dive in. I will also be running a couple 5k the next few weeks. This weekend is in Enid, next in Alva and the race for the cure is Oct 9 I believe. Paytons bday is coming up and we are all set to go fishing!! Santa couldn't find an OU jersey of Murrey last year so I found one for his bday. I love you all and miss each and every face. I am soo extremely lucky and don't realize it most days until I write it all down like this!

Ketsup!

Ok friends and family I am officially a Flogger- first time blogger. I love that I can share everything that is going on while on my lunch break!! ahh Ok lets play some catch-up (ketsup) hehe for those who I unfortunately don't get to spend much time on the phone with. Playday rodeos are over (phew) and Payton won 3rd Place in all around cowboy. Talk about soem proud parents. I actually cried for a second. Yep im gonna be the mom boohooing at the ball games. Win or lose. I am a proud new auntie of Adler Alan Bates and Reese Ty Walden. What a blessing. I am so proud of my sisters and how they are grasping motherood. No one had any doubts. I look at both of them and remember the feeling they had and it seems like not so long ago. My feelings of coarse get stronger every day but there is something about the way it feels to be the only person that little one needs when they are that little. Trig had show and tell at daycare yesterday. He took a football from Nanny Stone. He loves to play catch with his bubba. School has officially begun and I am swamped here at school. I wish I could slow down a bit but I guess its the life of a working mom right? I was the director of miss cherokee this year and it was very successful!! But I am paying for it now with all the housework I let go. Tackle football has also begun for Payton (God help me). Aaron is the coach(Really God help a sister out). Cherokee did not have enough for a team so we joined up with Timberlake bitter rivals of Cherokee- this just keeps getting better right. The boys are having a blast and Trig wants to play SOSOSO bad. Payton is playing tailback but if he starts throwing better may be able to play some quarter back. We are so proud of how hard he is working. Aaron is such a great involved dad. I thank my lucky stars he chose me. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!
